BLACKLYF is building Uganda’s homegrown brand for Audio and Wearable electronics. We operate in a fragmented, import-heavy market where trust is low and brand loyalty is weak.
We win with localised design, durability, high quality, value for money, and local accountability. Not just gadgets. An ecosystem customers trust and return to.
We’re customer centric. Many of our design decisions come straight from customer feedback on what breaks, what feels uncomfortable, and what you expect from warranty and service.
We’re a young, energetic team - on the streets, at events, and always listening. That’s how BLACKLYF stays close to the people we build for.
Why we started
When I first came to Uganda, people told me to keep my phone tucked away because of theft. I wanted a watch so I could see notifications, pick calls, and keep my phone safe.
What I found was either expensive “big brand” options with unclear warranty and support, or cheap products with no quality, no warranty, and no accountability. Even pricing was all over the place.
So in 2024, we built BLACKLYF. Designed for real life in Uganda, backed by support, and improved every day based on what our community tells us.
